Chair

Max is a freshman living in Pennypacker Hall. He plans to concentrate in Economics with a secondary in Government. He grew up in New York City with three younger siblings. He is really passionate about technology and enjoys playing tennis in his free time. Max is tremendously excited about leading the SO Committee with Case this year!

Melda Gurakar
Chair

Melda Gurakar is a senior in Winthrop House studying Social Studies with a focus on human rights and the Ottoman Empire. She has lived in Baltimore, Oklahoma and Istanbul. Outside of LIHC, she enjoys graphic design, crafting and hiking. She is very excited to be a part of the Social Outreach committee for LIHC this year!

Kate Hoffman

Kate Hoffman is currently a Senior living in Pforzheimer House. She is originally from Dallas, Texas and attended both The Hockaday School and the School for Ethics and Global Leadership in Washington D.C. At Harvard she concentrates in Social Studies, focusing on Human Rights and Development in Southeast Asia. She is very excited to continue with LIHC this year and teach high schoolers leadership skills. Outside of LIHC, she volunteers with the Mission Hill After School Program through the Phillips Brooks House Association, is on the editorial board of the Harvard College Human Rights Review, and is a board member of Harvard Undergraduate Students for Myanmar. She loves to work with kids, to travel, and to spend time with family and friends.

Ryan O’Meara

Ryan O’Meara is a sophomore from Plano, TX planning on concentrating in Economics with a secondary field in Government. In addition to being on the Social Outreach and Harvard Leadership Magazine committees of LIHC, he is Editorial Board comp director for The Harvard Crimson and a member of the Harvard Political Union. In high school, he was the issues editor of the award-winning student newspaper at St. Mark’s School of Texas. He was also very involved with teaching leadership and ethics to middle school students through the Telos Society at St. Mark’s. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and cheering for Dallas sports teams.

Cameron Khansarinia

Cameron is a sophomore in Cabot House studying Government. Originally from Southern California, he first got involved in leadership as the two term President of California Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), the world’s largest student-run business organization in the world. At Harvard he is involved in the Undergraduate Council and a national political campaign.

Eunice Mwabe

Eunice, a student from Nairobi Kenya, is currently a freshman in Mower, possibly concentrating in African and African American Studies and Music. Prior to attending Harvard, she attended the African Leadership Academy, a pan-African institution in South Africa that seeks to develop the next generation of ethical and innovative leaders for the continent. At ALA Eunice served as the CEO of an arts-based startup, and took part in a two-year entrepreneurial leadership course. Eunice is interested in education and the role of the arts in creating sustainable international development.
