Aidan Chavez
President
Aidan Chavez is a sophomore in Dunster who was born and raised outside of Los Angeles. He plays club soccer, is a member of the Admin board for Harvard Model United Nations, and is a founding member of the Harvard College School of Rock. He is unsure of what he wants to study, but realizes the importance of leadership in any field. In his free time he loves playing drum set, finding new music, and playing pickup soccer games. |

Adam Vareberg
Finance and Communications Chair
Adam Vareberg is currently a sophomore in Quincy House concentrating in Biomedical Engineering. Adam was born in Des Moines, Iowa but raised in Fargo, North Dakota, where he grew to love community involvement. As the student body president at Davies High School, which opened in 2011, Adam played an active role in the development of a brand new school. Adam also took on other committee and leadership positions in his school, community, and state that allowed him to pursue his passion for service and community progression. He has raised substantial funding and awareness for non-profits in Fargo and has even served as the president of a non-profit. He is excited to work with the LDI committee members the LIHC executive team to grow as a leader and provide Harvard undergrads new opportunities lead. Adam loves to spend his time water skiing when the weather permits. Otherwise, he enjoys time spent with his friends and family. |
Lynnea Shuck
Chair, Leadership Development Initiative
Lynnea Shuck is sophomore in Currier House studying political theory and English with a focus on the history of environmental thought. On campus, Lynnea enjoys singing with the Harvard University Choir and Gilbert and Sullivan Players. She is also an editor of the Harvard Review of Philosophy. Last summer, Lynnea worked on environmental policy at the U.S. Department of the Interior in D.C. |
Olivia Blanchard
Chair, Harvard College Leadership Review
Olivia is a freshman in Pennypacker, originally from Bethesda, MD. She is a pre-medical student and is interested in studying molecular and cellular biology, with a citation in Russian language. Outside of LIHC, she volunteers at the Y2Y homeless shelter, and is a member of the Harvard HealthPALS, where she works to improve communication amongst diverse youth and promote wellness in the Harvard community. Leadership and leadership training have always been a part of her life through theater, public speaking, and drama. She hopes to extend her leadership experience to include expanding the Harvard College Leadership Review. |
Max August
Co-Chair, Social Outreach
Max is a freshman living in Pennypacker Hall. He plans to concentrate in Economics with a secondary in Government. He grew up in New York City with three younger siblings. He is really passionate about technology and enjoys playing tennis in his free time. Max is tremendously excited about leading the SO Committee with Case this year! |
Varoun Gulati
Chair, Youth Lead the Change
Varoun Gulati is a sophomore from Newton, Massachusetts. Academically, he is primarily interested in Economics, Statistics, and Mathematics. Varoun is passionate about social change, and created project Fostering Hope to raise funds and awareness for children in foster care around the Massachusetts area. He has been involved in the YLC Boston summer program for four years and hopes to continue to help youth to become empowered leaders in their communities. In his free time, Varoun enjoys squash, baseball, golf, and lots of house music. |
